As we approach the fifth anniversary of the financial meltdown that caused our economic near-death experience, it is time to learn the extent to which our economy has healed. Thus, we are very fortunate that Dr. Luke Tilley of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia will brief us on exactly that. How is our economy doing now? Will our gross domestic product (GDP) finally start to grow at a reasonable rate? When might the unemployment rate drop back to normal? Will inflation remain only a nuisance, or might it become large enough to seriously threaten the value of our assets? This group is dedicated to the art and science of technical analysis. We look at stock charts and indicators through the eyes of some of our members. The members comprise all levels of understanding, from the inexperienced to the seasoned investor. The experienced members are always willing to assist the less knowledgeable. It introduces the differing strategies in plain language and offers the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with fellow AAII members.
