The AAII Rochester Chapter presents...

"Repurposing a Historic Industrial Site Into a Manufacturing and Technology Center"

    Discussed by:

    Michael Alt
Director, Eastman Business Park and Director, Kodak Real Estate

This presentation will focus on explaining how a unique, secular, manufacturing facility can be revitalized to create new-economy products and jobs, and potentially become a national model for invigorating manufacturing in the U.S. Eastman Business Park, Kodak’s primary film manufacturing hub for over a century, has developed into what is today one of the largest, most diverse industrial and technology parks in the United States. It is the only U.S. industrial park of its size that was built in a vertically integrated fashion to support the R&D and commercialization components of a single industry sector, with the products (manufactured on site) driving a broad range of technological advancements over the last 100 years. Today, it has opened its doors to the next generation of entrepreneurs, innovators and employers, making its infrastructure available to help accelerate middle-stage technology companies and allowing them to develop their businesses from prototype stages to the later stages of production and commercialization.
