Donald Cassidy, president of the Retirement Investing Institute, will caution strongly against reaching for yield, urge investors to be active rather than passive, and cover various income approaches—from individual common and preferred stocks and bonds to exchange-traded funds (ETFs), unit investment trusts (UITs), mutual funds and closed-end funds. He will also discuss opportunities in rising-income investments and inverse bond funds. His coverage will include utility investing and real estate investment trust (REIT) investing, as well as writing options for income.
