"The Investor’s Quest: Obtaining an Edge"

    Discussed by:

    Ray Rondeau
    President, AAII Boston Chapter

Raymond A. Rondeau is a very well-known trader and teacher. His presentation will be in two parts. The first 45 minutes will be devoted to synergizing individual trades by taking advantage of skews and variances that occur in the securities markets. Hedging techniques and risk reduction will be stressed, along with utilizing probabilities and minimizing emotions. There will also be a discussion of the use of equity market–neutral techniques to reduce market directional risk and protect the entire portfolio. After a short break, Mr. Rondeau will spend 45 minutes covering the essence of technical analysis, exploring methods of synergizing derivatives with individual underlying positions. He will also discuss trendlines and how individual investors can utilize them to make intelligent decisions.
