The AAII Washington D.C. Metro Chapter presents...

"Combining Money Management, Portfolio Metrics, and Strategies for Investing and Trading"

    Discussed by:

    Paul Grems Duncan
    Leader, Tri-State Investors Group

The workshop will focus on metrics for money management, specifically looking at how to benchmark your holdings with respect to gain and drawdown. There is more to investing than just your bank account balance, and metrics can help you understand whether you are taking too much risk for the gains that you are achieving. This will be tied with actual portfolio implementations, and an Excel workbook with the different formulas can be demonstrated. Selection of stocks within different strategies will be discussed, and the concepts of stock selection using optimized moving averages and effective volume will be demonstrated.

Attend This Meeting and Learn...
How to employ money management techniques like Calmar ratio, mathematical expectation, Sharpe ratio, and pessimistic return ratio
How to apply metrics to strategies like Connor’s mean reversion strategies and a modified AAII Shadow Stock Portfolio strategy, as well as others
How to segment your portfolio into different strategies yet operate from the same account
