Exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are often touted as a tax-efficient, transparent investment. But that is not always the case. In this presentation, Michael Rawson of Morningstar will discuss how to analyze ETFs and why you should not just rely on the name of the ETF when selecting investments. ETFs that offer exposure to different asset classes can have different tax treatments and may not give you the precise exposure you expect. He will conclude with a discussion of investment ideas for the current environment.
