The AAII Charlotte Chapter presents...
"The Recession Ended 26 Months Ago–What Kind of Recovery Is This?"
Discussed by:
John M. Simms Jr., Ph.D., CFA
Chief Investment Officer, Piedmont Financial Trust Company
The recession caused by the financial crisis was declared over in June 2009. Several massive stimulus programs by the federal government and the Federal Reserve have generated a great recovery in financial asset prices, yet the real economy and the job and housing markets continue to limp along. The presentation will focus on how we arrived at this economic juncture and what investors can do to manage portfolio risk in what promises to continue to be a challenging environment.
