Listed (tradeable) options have been available since 1973, yet only a minority of individual investors use them. Our speaker, an options user who has researched and spoken extensively on the subject, will explain options so anyone can understand them. He will focus on two conservative strategies: writing options for added income and protecting stock and exchange-traded fund (ETF) positions against loss with puts. Options trading is speculative only if certain strategies are used, so our speaker will make clear what strategies to avoid and which to use.

This session will focus on the speaker’s primary technical indicators for the overall market as well as individual stocks. If you have decided to buy or sell a stock, it is shortsighted not to know its technical position, since that information can help you to implement entry/exit decisions more profitably.
