Greg Garrabrants returns to AAII San Diego to discuss the financial crisis, banking, and his San Diego-based company, Bank of Internet USA (BofI Holding, Inc. trades on NASDAQ under the ticker BOFI). He will update us on his bank’s operations and explain how his bank can offer a 1.3% FDIC-insured checking account. He will teach us about bank capital requirements, and he will talk about his bank’s higher-yielding preferred stock. He will update us on his new partnerships with Costco and other financial institutions, as well as some new financial services his company has been offering.
