This presentation will give a broad overview of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and a few specific recommendations on how best to use them. Michael Rawson will start with an overview of the ETF industry, followed by a comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of ETFs versus mutual funds. We will talk about the different kinds of indexes that ETFs follow as well as more exotic asset classes such as commodities. In the second half of the presentation, we will discuss the research process, and we will conclude by applying that process to a few investment ideas for the current environment.
