Topic: “High-Yielding Strategies for the Next Decade”

Summary: John Reese, CEO of Validea.com and Validea Capital Management and columnist at Forbes.com, will discuss high-yielding equity investment strategies. The approaches discussed will focus on value/dividend quantitative investment models that are based on history’s best investors and that are oriented toward both income and capital appreciation. Reese will also outline his own personal high-yielding strategy used to identify stocks that generate reliable income streams, which on average produce a 9% yield in today’s market. John P. Reese is founder and CEO of Validea.com, an Internet-based supplier of research and analytical tools for individual and professional investors. Reese is a pioneer in online investment research. He holds two U.S. patents in automated stock analysis and is considered an expert in quantitative stock selection using the strategies of investing legends. Reese is co-founder of Validea Capital Management, a separate account asset management firm serving individuals and companies, and manages two Canadian-based mutual funds (Omega Consensus American and International Equity Funds). He is co-author of “The Guru Investor: How to Beat the Market Using History’s Best Investment Strategies” (John Wiley & Sons, 2009). LOCATION: Brookfield Library, 1900 North Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, 262/782-4140. Take I-94 to the Moorland Road north exit. Go past the Brookfield Mall and turn west (left) on Blue Mound Rd. Go one mile to Calhoun Rd. and turn north (right). Go two miles north. The library is on the east (right) side, next to City Hall.
Topic: Large group presentation of the ETF allocation portfolio, growth portfolio and re-instituted bond portfolio. Small group breakout sessions to discuss large group presentation and to examine fund and ETF candidates to revamp portfolios. Small groups will study methods and criteria for fund selection and find volunteers to make a recommended selection at our next meeting.
