Do the headlines really tell the story? Are you hoping for an improvement in the economy or is the reality something different? Do you know how to sift the wheat from the chaff? Fred Richards will examine today’s economic indicators and provide a market overview in both domestic and worldwide contexts. Richards will discuss in detail how he uses the CAN SLIM investing system to produce results in up and down markets. He will cover the “Power of 3” concept along with “Pocket Pivots” for improving investment results. Richards will also share ideas as to how to identify trends the markets might experience in the future. His motto is “KISS +SF!” or, “Keep It Safe and Simple and Stay Focused!” The CAN SLIM rules for investing were originally developed by William J. O’Neil of Investor’s Business Daily, and Richards has simplified them. Using this strategy, returns over the past 10 years have exceeded the major indices each year and have not lost money even in bear markets. Richards will review simple rules based upon the CAN SLIM methodology that can help investors develop a disciplined and focused approach to investing to meet the challenges of these uncertain times.
