The AAII Cleveland Chapter presents...
"Intelligent International Investing—Emerging Markets: The Road Ahead"
Discussed by:
Geoffrey C. Pazzanese
Portfolio Manager and Vice President, Federated Investors of Pittsburgh
When it comes to investing, it’s no longer an emerging-market and developed-market world; it’s simply one world of opportunity, requiring each country to be analyzed on its merits. We explore this theme as we delve into the reemergence of the emerging markets (EM), which after centuries in the wilderness, now account for 40% of global manufacturing and, by 2050, are expected to represent six of the world’s 10 largest economies. Ultimately, the goal is to first make the correct country allocations and then the right stock decision within those countries; we provide examples of our favored emerging market companies.
