Emotion plays an unfriendly adversary for most people in the investment world. As the stock market swings up and down on a daily basis, human nature takes us on an emotional roller coaster. Our speaker, Brent Pahnke will help you to create portfolios that can stand the test of time and smooth out that emotional roller coaster ride. You will learn to combine traditional investments side by side with unit investment trusts and non-traded alternative investments that will allow you sleep better at night knowing that your entire portfolio isn’t tied to the day’s results in the stock market. Brent will share with you the benefits of unit investment trusts (UITs) along with some alternative investments.

The new Sequoya Branch of the Madison Public Library is located in the Midvale Shopping Center, about halfway between the Beltline and University Avenue. Enter the library from either Tokay Blvd. or from the center’s parking lot.

2013 meetings are scheduled for January 23, March 20, May 22, September 25 and November 20. Meetings are the fourth Wednesday of the odd-numbered months except for March and November, which are on the third Wednesday. No meeting is scheduled in July.
LOCATION: Brookfield Library, 1900 North Calhoun Rd., Brookfield, 262/782-4140. Take I-94 to the Moorland Road north exit. Go past the Brookfield Mall and turn west (left) on Blue Mound Rd.
