Many investment advisers and academics say depleting your assets by 4% or 4.3% is safe. These numbers are based on computer simulations (as were predictions that the financial system could not melt down!). Our May 21 speaker has a whole different approach, which he has been using for over 30 years. His approach involves six distinct asset buckets and is trademarked as the Income for Life Model. You should hear his ideas before proceeding on the simple, commonly advised path. This would be an excellent event for inviting a friend or family member and introducing them to AAII's benefits!
