In this presentation, mutual fund manager extraordinaire Ron Muhlenkamp will go over the areas of the markets that he feels holds the best investment opportunities in 2014. One specific area that Muhlenkamp will focus on is that of natural gas. With the price spread between natural gas and crude oil widening significantly as a result of technological innovations in shale drilling, Muhlenkamp will explain why he feels that this potential “game changer” puts the U.S. in a position to cut its energy costs in half during the next decade. "Technical Analysis: Past, Present and Future"

In this presentation, Jasmina Hasanhodzic will present findings from a broad study of technical analysis, a subject of two books and various articles that she has co-authored with MIT legend Andrew Lo. Hasanhodzic will cover many of the important findings that recent research has discovered in relation to the bridging of the gap between the practitioners of technical analysis and academic finance. Specifically, she will demonstrate how their results refute the widespread belief that financial markets look random to human beings.

Meetings cover a variety of current investment and financial topics, contoured to the desires of the group’s members and meeting attendees. The meetings consist of both local professional speakers and active member participation, creating an educational and enjoyable environment for all involved. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the conference room at the Cape Cod Community TV Center, 17 Shad Hole Road, Dennisport, MA. The full spectrum of common stocks is covered with discussion of financial analysis, markets, etc. All approaches and levels of experience welcome.
