Exchange-traded funds (ETFs), have gained the attention of both institutional and individual investors. Motif Investing is a new online broker with a unique investment product. “Motifs” are weighted baskets or portfolios of up to 30 stocks or ETFs. They are designed by the firm or custom-made by the individual investor, centering on an investment theme, or motif. They are then traded with a single low-cost commission for the entire portfolio.
