The AAII San Diego Chapter presents...
"What Can Nobel Prize-Winning Economists Teach Us About Investing?"
In October 2013 the Nobel Prize for economics was awarded to three professors for their research into financial markets and investing. Interestingly, two differ markedly in their own views on risk and return, and the nature of financial markets. Gene Fama is a leader of the efficient market hypothesis, while Robert Shiller is a champion of behavioral finance. Ryan McKeon will discuss their research and explain that while there are often substantial differences in their thinking about financial markets and investing, there is also often strong agreement on the best way to manage risk and avoid costly mistakes when investing.
Ryan McKeon Ph.D.
Assistant Professor of Finance, University of San Diego
