After a year of development and programming, we are proud to announce the unveiling of our new Web site. The retooled AAII.com is now available and we encourage you to visit today.

Specifically designed to enhance your membership, our goal was to present member benefits and services in a more organized, educational, and interactive way. While redesigning the site, we’ve also incorporated many of the helpful suggestions and requests that we’ve received from you over the years.

Investing Basics…Not Just for Beginners

As highlighted in last issue’s AAII.com article, we’ve divided the site into six topical areas to aid in easier navigation: Investing Basics, Stocks, Bonds, Mutual Funds, Personal Finance and Research. Links to each section can be found in the top horizontal navigation bar; move your mouse cursor over a topic area to reveal a pull-down menu with related links. Each area brings together articles, guides, classrooms, and other AAII tools pertaining to the topic.

Even if you do not consider yourself a novice in investing, our Investing Basics area is worth a visit, as it is rich in AAII resources that you may have overlooked on the old site.

The Investing Basics area includes links to our collection of AAII Guides, which provide you with a continuing stream of “how-to” investment advice, knowledge and guidance. Updated annually, the Guides include:

Links to our Investor Classroom allow you to sit in on investing mini-courses. You’ll learn about the basics of investing, stock analysis techniques, choosing mutual funds, financial statement analysis, and much more. The Investor Classroom can also be found under Tools in the left-hand AAII.com navigation bar (www.aaii.com/classroom).

Access to AAII Local Chapters is also provided in the Investing Basics area. Our network of AAII Chapters brings programs of investment information and education to your neighborhood. Visit our on-line Chapters area to sign up for meeting announcements and see what programs are taking place locally. It’s a great way to meet new people who share your interests.

The Investing Basics area also includes a listing of timeless AAII articles that are rotated on a weekly basis, as well as links to our Investing Basics FAQs and Investing Basics Downloads.
