AAII.com: Recent Improvements

We’ve added even more new features and made additional improvements to the AAII.com Web site in an effort to make site navigation easy and convenient. Here’s a look at what’s new.

Investor Quizzes

Now you can test your financial knowledge with AAII’s newest Web site feature. The Investor Classroom area of the Web site provides a step-by-step understanding of important investment ideas and techniques. Four of the Investor Classrooms have been enhanced to include on-line quizzes:

  • First Steps to Successful Investing
  • Choosing the Best Fund for You
  • Investing in Bonds
  • How to Judge a Stock

Quizzes consist of between four and eight multiple choice questions based on important concepts gleaned from the step-by-step Classroom reading. The questions will appear in a new Web browser window, giving you the ability to search the article for answers without closing the quiz. Immediately after you have answered a question, the quiz will tell you if you have chosen the right or wrong answer and will give an explanation of the correct choice. Once all of the questions have been answered, your score is displayed. You can then re-take the quiz, return to the Investor Classroom course or continue searching the AAII Web site.

To access the quizzes, go to the AAII Investor Classroom (www.aaii.com/classroom) and enter an article under one of the four enhanced classrooms. Then, choose the “Take the Quiz” link from the right-side menu bar, or choose the “Quiz” link at the top or bottom of each classroom page.

New and Improved AAII E-newsletters

AAII offers a variety of E-newsletters for our members. We have updated the AAII Investor Update and the CI E-mail.

The AAII Investor Update is an E-newsletter sent twice a month that discusses what’s new at the AAII Web site.

As a Computerized Investing subscriber, you can also opt to receive the CI E-mail, which is a bimonthly E-newsletter that discusses new investing products and Web sites. The E-mails are now in color, easier to read and include more prominent links to additional information.

To sign up for any of AAII’s E-newsletters, go to www.aaii.com/profile/ENewsletters.cfm, choose the E-newsletters you are interested in receiving and submit your E-mail address.
