Most investors have a good understanding of fundamental analysis and can find websites that help perform this type of analysis, but many are also looking for online resources to help them understand the basics of technical analysis. ClearStation, a website from E*Trade, targets investors who are looking to use more technical analysis in their investment approach. The site is free and provides a wealth of information to help you get started.

The first area most users should visit is the Education section. This area is designed to give users the foundation needed to get the most out of ClearStation. The articles provided start with Trading Basics and go through Reading Graphs, Trending, and Oscillating. Furthermore, an article on using ClearStation is also offered. Each article has numerous sections, and the educational information provided is fairly comprehensive. Once you familiarize yourself with the site, navigating the various areas and interpreting the information should be simple.
