Exchange Rates for Android

Exchange Rates for Android is a free app designed to help tourists determine U.S. prices in their country’s currency. After installing the app from Google Play, Exchange Rates opens to display the U.S. dollar versus six default currencies: the euro, British pound, Japanese yen, Chinese yuan, Canadian dollar and Mexican peso. By default it shows the value of $100 U.S. dollars for each of these currencies, updated with the latest exchange rates. However, you can change the base amount for any of the displayed currencies and the others will adjust to the current value. You do this by tapping the currencies on the list. Holding down on any of the currencies will give you several menu options, including changing the currencies listed. The app currently handles nearly 200 currencies, although more thinly traded currencies may lack up-to-date exchange rates. The exchange rates update throughout the day, but you can also manually “force” an update.
