Free to all AAII members, Investing Pathways provides the education and advice 401(k) investors need. The focus is squarely on topics crucial to retirement planning—the basics of investing, the trade-off between risk and reward, and the fundamentals of asset allocation.

The Professional Portfolio Observer is one of the site’s best features. You can review specific portfolio allocations for investors of different age groups as recommended by financial planners.

In the Portfolio Makeover area, you get an inside look at how actual investors manage their finances. Read what professionals have to say about the portfolio—a concise evaluation of the good and bad, along with realistic steps that can be taken to correct deficiencies. The available stock screens run the full spectrum, from value-based to growth. For your convenience, AAII produces a list of companies that pass each screen. These stock lists are updated each month and posted to the Stock Screens area. AAII also reports on the performance of each screen. Returns are calculated using the month-to-month closing price and plotted on performance charts that reveal each screen’s performance over time.
