MyBankTracker provides free, transparent information to help consumers make informed banking decisions. In addition to deposit account interest rate, loan interest rate and retirement interest rate comparisons, the MyBankTracker website also includes a section dedicated to customer reviews of a number of banks. Furthermore, the website also includes deals, Q&A and news sections and boasts several useful tools, such as a bank locater, financial calculator, annual percentage yield (APY) calculator, mortgage calculator and annual percentage rate (APR) calculator. It also provides a MyBankTracker iPhone application and a blog widget, available for download.

MyBankTracker

The MyBankTracker website has a simple design and is easy to use. Hovering your mouse cursor over the “Find Rates” button drops down a menu containing links to deposit account, loan and retirement interest rates. Deposit account rates include certificate of deposit (CD), savings, money market, and checking interest rates; loan interest rates include mortgage, credit card and home equity line of credit (HELOC) interest rates; retirement rates includes IRA CD and IRA savings interest rates.

Clicking on the Deals section brings up a page that lists the best banking deals sorted by community popularity. At the top of this page, you are able to change how the deals are sorted by clicking your preferred choice. Deals featured range from getting cash back to receiving a free iPod when opening a new checking account.

The Reviews section allows customers to both post their own reviews of banks as well as read other customer reviews. The top of the reviews page is sorted by top banks on the left and most reviewed banks on the right, and the bottom of the page lists the five most recent customer reviews. Above the most recent reviwes, you are able to see a list of all banks that customers have reviewed by simply clicking on “View all banks.”

The Tools section provides useful products such as a bank locator, APY calculator, mortgage calculator, APRcalculator and a Web-based program to search and screen for the best bank rates. Additionally, it provides downloads for the MyBankTracker iPhone application and website widget.

MyBankTracker provides two other useful sections: Q&A and News. The Q&A section is an interactive question and answer forum where consumers can both ask and answer financial banking questions. The top of the Q&A page has an area to post questions. In order to answer an inquiry, click on the question you want to answer and you will be brought to an area where your response can be posted.

The final section of the websage provides recent financial news that can be sorted according to Hot News, Special Offers, Credit, Family Finance, Debt Management, Guides, Real Estate, Financial Crisis and Bargain Tracker.

The link in the article is to something called "moneystrands," but if you directly enter the url mybanktracker.com you do get to what seems to be the site discussed. Of course there are lots of bank review sites already; one of the useful free ones is yelp.
