Consolidate Your Financial Accounts
If you are like me, you have dozens of online accounts. When you go beyond banks, credit card, and investment accounts to include utilities, rental car, frequent flyer, and even Netflix, the number can increase rapidly. For each of these accounts, there is a username and password that allows you to manage them online. After awhile, keeping track of all this information can become a little daunting. That is where a personal information aggregator, such as Pageonce Personal Finance, comes in handy. With this app, you can organize your online accounts onto a single, easy-to-use dashboard.
Tracking Online Accounts
Despite its name, Pageonce Personal Finance can monitor a broad range of online accounts. After downloading and installing the iPhone/iPad app from the Apple Store, I was able to set up my credit card, bank and investment accounts, as well as my AT&T wireless account and even my Netflix account. Pageonce has teamed up with a number of providers in order to make this app truly a one-stop-shop for both financial and transactional applications. In fact, the Pageonce website claims that it is the largest mobile personal finance service in the U.S.
Pageonce also has a website where you can go to set up account information or to follow your accounts. This cross-functionality is nice if you are somewhere without your smart phone, iPod, or iPad yet still want to keep an eye on your accounts.
Security
Many people are concerned with security when entering in account information online, and rightly so. Pageonce claims to use bank-level security to keep your information safe. When entering in your account information, you will notice that you do not enter account numbers or use your address or Social Security number. Instead, you use the same username and password you use at that service’s web site. Therefore, your Pageonce account is anonymous.
Multiple Platforms
For this review, I used Pageonce Personal Finance on my iPad. However, Pageonce supports a number of platforms and devices, including iPhone and iPod touch, Android, BlackBerry, and Windows Mobile.
Overall
Pageonce is a great app for those looking to consolidate a number of accounts under a single umbrella. While it does not provide any detailed analysis of your financial accounts, it does provide you with an up-to-date snapshot of your current account balances. There is a free version of the app as well as an ad-free Premium version that costs $6.99. I didn’t find the ads overly annoying in the free version, so I think most of you would be happy with it.
