Pageonce Pro–Money & Bills for Android
by CI Staff
Previously in this space, we reviewed the Pageonce Personal Finance app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This free app allows users to organize online accounts—bank, credit card, investment, utilities, frequent flyer miles, etc.—into a single easy-to-use dashboard. At the time, we noted that the app provided an excellent, up-to-date snapshot of your various accounts. This time around, we look at the premium version for Android: Pageonce Pro–Money & Bills. This app is very similar to the free version, but with some added features that make the $12.99 price tag worthwhile.

Tracking Online Accounts
As with the free version, Pageonce Pro allows you to monitor a number of online accounts, not all of which are financial in nature. With the app, you can monitor credit card and bank transactions; view detailed bill and account statements; track your investment portfolios; track frequent flyer miles and rewards; track minutes, text and data usage in your mobile accounts; and even track your Netflix account.
Pageonce Pro supports a number of banks, including Bank of America, Capital One, Chase, Wells Fargo, Citibank and many more. Furthermore, you can track accounts from credit unions such as Navy Federal Credit Union and Schools First Federal Credit Union, among others. The app also supports most of the popular credit cards: Discover, American Express, Citibank, Capital One and more. You can even monitor store credit cards from such retailers as Walmart, Sears, Best Buy, Macy’s, Gap and Shell Gas. With this breadth of coverage, it is no wonder that Pageonce touts itself as the largest mobile personal finance service in the U.S.
Pageonce has a website where you can set up your various accounts and monitor them online. This feature is especially useful when you do not have access to your smartphone or Android device.
Beyond the ability to monitor and track your online accounts, Pageonce Pro gives you an overview of your financial situation. This allows you to see at any point in time how much you owe and helps you to better budget your money. You can keep track of when bills are due with the app’s transactions history. You can also receive push notifications and email alerts when bills are due or when you become overdrawn on an account.
Pageonce does offer a free version of the app: Pageonce–Money & Bills. While we found the free Pageonce App to be extremely helpful and user-friendly, Pageonce Pro offers some exclusive functionalities to warrant the premium price. Chief among these is an ad-free experience. When you are using the free app, you are confronted with ads. With Pageonce Pro, you are freed of that annoyance. Also, instead of having to update accounts individually, Pageonce Pro offers a “refresh all” option that allows you to update all your accounts at the same time. Lastly, with Pageonce Pro, you can add an unlimited number of bills manually.
Many individuals shy away from financial apps due to security concerns. While it is a good idea to be cautious with your financial data, especially while online, Pageonce claims bank-level security in order to safeguard your vital information. The app does not require you to enter account numbers or your Social Security number. While you use the same usernames and passwords that you use at each institution’s website, there is no identifying account information transmitted that could compromise your data’s integrity.
Pageonce Pro, like its free siblings, is an excellent app for keeping tabs on your online accounts. We were very impressed with the free Pageonce Personal Finance for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, and we were impressed again with Pageonce Pro—Money and Bills for Android. While it seems worthwhile to pay for the Pro version to avoid being overrun with ads, you may wish to try the free version (Pageonce–Money & Bills) first to see if it fits your needs. Either version stands head and shoulders above the competition in the realm of personal finance apps for the Android.
