Revo Uninstaller is an easy-to-use and thorough application for uninstalling programs and removing any leftover files. Although Windows’ uninstaller is decent at removing programs, it cannot force uninstall and it often leaves behind files that may eventually slow down the computer. These shortcomings make Revo Uninstaller a useful product because it will remove any program as well as all files associated with it. The program should be able to run on any Windows operating system.
Individuals who use their computer often and want files to be clean and organized will find that Revo Uninstaller is a lifesaver. For one reason or another, many programs on Windows cannot uninstall. Sometimes the program cannot be found, the files are corrupted or there are other errors that prevent Windows from removing the software. Revo Uninstaller’s Forced Uninstall feature can fix this problem and clean up the list of installed programs.
Windows’ uninstaller also often leaves files and folders of uninstalled programs behind, which are also difficult to manually delete. Revo Uninstaller will automatically delete these folders when the program is uninstalled so that the program’s files folder and the computer’s registry are free of clutter and operating efficiently.
Revo Uninstaller will also back up the computer’s registry and create a restore point before uninstalling a program in case there are any unforeseen consequences as a result of the uninstallation, such as if the program or file is critical to the operating system. Furthermore, the program also provides a variety of file-cleaning functions, such as Junk Files Cleaner and Windows Cleaner, which scan the system for defected files and remove them.
The program comes in two versions: freeware and professional. The freeware version performs all essential functions but lacks multi-level backup, force uninstall, real-time system monitoring and advanced leftover scanning. Moreover, the freeware version is not fully compatible with a 64-bit operating system.
