Stock Fundamental Data Download is a small but useful program that allows users to download a variety of fundamental data points from the Web. The program can also export the downloaded data into an Excel file for further analysis.

Using Stock Fundamental Data Download is especially simple. After installing and opening the software program, enter the symbols of the companies for which you want data downloaded. In the “Lite” version, you may enter up to 30 symbols at a time. If you choose to pay for the program, there is no cap on the amount of companies you can enter. After entering all your companies, click on the Setting icon at the top of the program. At the window that pops up, you are able to specify the data output location, file name and data fields. Once again, you are limited in the “Lite” version to only 14 data fields. There is no limitation if you choose to pay for the program.

The downloaded fundamental data is all populated in the program. To export the data, click on the Export icon at the top of the program. The output exports as a .CSV file, which can be opened in Microsoft Excel.

The free “Lite” version of Stock Fundamental Data Download only supports up to 30 ticker symbols and 14 data points. In addition, the software program has less than 50 data points in total. However, all of the functionality of the program is available free of charge. Furthermore, the program is very simple to use.

Sorry. I don't own, and never will again own, a Windows based computer. If its not Apple compatible, its not worth owning.

Is there a list of the data points somewhere or do I have to buy the program to find out?

The program downloads data from Yahoo Finance and you can specify what data you want by going to Setting and selecting a field for each column using the dropdown arrows. After choosing your desired formatting, select Update in the main window and the program will download that data.

If you go to the company site http://www.analyxit.com/Stock_Fundamental_Data_Download_p/002.htm, click on Larger Photo button, then the second photo, you can see 39 data points listed. I thought it was pretty cool that they include EBITDA.
