Stock Quotes Pro
by AAII Staff
Recently, quite a few AAII members have asked us to recommend an easy method of downloading and exporting historical stock quotes. AAII’s Download Library includes a small program named Stock Quotes Pro that is able to retrieve historical quotes and export the data in ASCII format. Historical price quotes can be downloaded for up to 1,000 symbols at a time.
Stock Quotes Pro is a simple and straightforward program. Simply add stock quotes by selecting Add from the Symbols menu or by clicking on the Add icon at the top of the screen. After adding the symbols for which you want historical quotes, select Update All from the Quotes menu or click on the Update icon. After the program finishes updating the quotes, double-click on each quote to load an ASCII-format file of the downloaded historical quotes.
To customize the program, select Preferences from the Settings dropdown menu. Here, you are able to add special formatting and specify a date range for the historical quotes. In addition, you can specify a data server.
The program costs $49.95 for the full version, but you can download a free 10-day trial.

Hi Peter,
I'm not having any issues with downloading the quotes. Which company are you searching for?
