There are several sub-tabs available for top stocks, top mutual funds and top ETFs. Top stocks are separated by industry, and within each industry, stocks are rated between A and F. According to TheStreet.com, its stock model compiles and examines all available financial data on a daily basis to gauge a stock’s probability of moving up or down. Additionally, the website asserts that the model scores stocks on various factors—including growth, financial solvency, stock price performance and volatility—that have shown strong correlations with future stock performance. Mutual fund ratings are broken down by fund family and ETF ratings are separated by sector. Just as with stocks, mutual funds and ETFs are given a rating between A and F.
The Investment Research area also provides economic and earnings calendars. The economic calendar lists upcoming key economic figures along with the consensus estimate, reported figures, and the surprise percentage, and the earnings calendar lists the same data for upcoming earnings releases. Earnings call transcripts are also found in the same area. A dividend calendar is also provided, presenting the upcoming dividends by ex-dividend date, as well as the dollar amount and the dividend yield.

In addition to the mutual fund and ETF screeners, which are rather basic, the Investment Research area offers a stock ratings screener. The ratings methodology used by TheStreet.com provides ratings for stocks based on growth, total return, efficiency, volatility, solvency and income. Users are able to specify a value between one and five for each of these ratings, and they can choose preferred market capitalization and beta ranges. The screener will provide the equities that meet each of the criteria.
A professional commentary section is also available, including commentary from Jim Cramer, a co-founder of the website. A short biography of each author is provided.
