Weekly Budget is a set of customizable personal finance Excel spreadsheets that help you attain your financial goals. The two worksheets within Weekly Budget are called Weekly and Biweekly, which allow you to set your budget based on your pay schedule as well as the frequency of your bills. Some individuals base their budget management solely on their pay schedule, and Weekly Budget allows customization just for that.
At the top of the spreadsheet, you enter the total expenses for the week and the net income for the week. The worksheet automatically calculates your projected end balance in cash flow. Both spreadsheets offer a wide range of categories that cover common expenses, including transportation, health, holidays, subscriptions, entertainment, recreation and more. Each category has subcategories as well. For example, the subcategories under “health” are health club dues, insurance, prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, veterinary/pet medicines and life insurance. You can add or delete subcategories to create a budget that fits your normal expenditure. Within each week, there are three categories: budget, actual and difference. At the beginning of the week, you enter an amount you allow for your budget, then go back and enter how much you actually spend in the specified category.
