Workflow Designer is a professional tool for creating and mapping workflow procedure charts. From simple diagrams to elaborate mind maps, Workflow Designer can aid groups in visually capturing the purpose as well as the process of tasks. The Workflow Connect cloud service adds convenience for each member of the team by giving them access to tools on demand and enabling sharing documents and diagrams easily.
After opening the program, the main screen asks you what you want to do. If you are a first-time user, you create a new workflow. You automatically start with a standard blank template, but you can create templates and save them for later use. This is a complex program that allows the user to create charts based on any workflow they design. While designing a workflow, you can enter a purpose, standards that need to be met, step details or tasks associated with a workflow. The program allows you to create a step-by-step process on what needs to be done, in a very applicable visual manner. The program has a Quick Draw tool that makes drawing a new workflow simple. Reference documents can be linked in appropriate places within a diagram, imported from most standard document file formats or by creating links to existing documents. If you become a part of the cloud-based Workflow Connect system, you can share diagrams and documentation and connect people to the workflow. Another available tool is Reports. These reports can include who is assigned to what task, job sequence, work instruction, document and chart links, as well as approval and revision history.
