Morningstar.com offers complete transcripts of company earnings conference calls. The breadth of offerings and their high standards with reference to conference calls and corporate earnings (both free and paid) is why we have named Morningstar.com our Editors' Choice website. To locate a company’s conference call transcript, type a ticker symbol in the search box and click on the Transcripts tab. Call transcripts include the company presentation, the question-and-answer session, and a list of the executives and analysts participating in the call. A list of past transcripts is given on the right side of the page, as well as links to recent transcripts from competitor companies.
In the website’s Earnings Transcript center (click on Stocks, then choose Call Transcripts from the list on the left), Morningstar.com lists transcripts for “bellwether” stocks, which are stocks that are typically seen as leading indicators of the direction of a sector or the market as a whole, as well as lists of the most recent and the most popular transcripts. There is no audio playback for transcripts, but the written transcripts are provided free of charge. In addition, Morningstar.com offers a tab that lists companies’ quarterly and annual reports as they are posted. Finally, you can search the earnings transcripts by keyword, company, sector, analyst or date.
