Seeking Alpha is a platform for investment research, with broad coverage of stocks, asset classes, ETFs and investment strategy. In contrast to other equity research platforms, this site provides insight from investors and industry experts rather than from sell-side analysts. Seeking Alpha provides an extensive section devoted to transcripts of quarterly earnings conference calls. The transcripts include the company presentation, the question-and-answer session and a list of the executives and analysts participating in the call. The site presents the latest and most popular transcripts and separates them by broad industry. You can also search by company or product. A calendar shows upcoming earnings calls and events. In addition to earnings transcripts, Seeking Alpha also provides transcripts of major events. For example, you can find a transcript of Apple’s WWDC keynote presentation. You may also sign up for email alerts for upcoming earnings releases.

For each company, Seeking Alpha also provides a Breaking News tab where users can find information on recent dividend announcements as well as company mergers and acquisitions. The mergers and acquisitions tab is useful as it lists recent activities and rumors on this front for user-selected companies. The earnings tab also provides additional color on recent earnings announcements and analyst rating changes based on earnings releases.

Discussion About Seeking Alpha

J.P. Carsten from New York posted on June 22, 2014:

As a long time devotee of SA I find the InstaBlogs that are articles that are started by an author on a specific subject matter and maintained by the author for updates, comment monitoring and the accompanying comments to be the main reason I use the site. I do, of course find a select number of authors that publish regularly whom I find are quite credible. Their submissions are also the subject matter of in depth comments and critiques.
