Websites for Exchange-Traded Funds
Finding timely data on exchange-traded fundsis becoming increasingly important as more investors are looking to these investments for their diversification benefits and low cost. Prospectuses, performance information, tracking error, and other reports be downloaded at the ETF sponsor sites.
For some time now, Morningstar.com has arguably been the most robust website for funds, including exchange-traded funds. Data on ETFs rivals that presented for mutual funds, including quotes, charts, performance statistics, ratings and risk figures, and fees and expenses. A performance table allows users to sort ETFs by return for various time frames. An ETF screener is also available for free. Morningstar.com offers analyst research and commentary for premium subscribers, as well as a Quickrank tool that calculates a fair value estimate for the ETF.
