I agree with Robert from Mass. - it doesn't hurt to own some gold and silver just in case. I've slept well ever since I put 3% of my portfolio into precious metals. Yes they went up and then down precipitously, but my other investments more than compensated for the losses. I have no doubts the pendulum will swing back the other way though.
