Topic: Investing in Stocks: The Skills You Need for Success

Speaker: Brian A Hellmer, CFA, CIPM, managing director of public equities for the State of Wisconsin Investment Board (SWIB). In that role, Brian oversees the 28 investment professionals who are actively investing over $13 billion across 11 different global portfolios. Prior to joining SWIB, Brian was the Director of the Hawk Center for Applied Investment Analysis, a donor funded center within the UW-Madison School of Business that focuses on training students to become professional investors.

Description: SWIB is responsible for managing the assets of the Wisconsin Retirement system, the State Investment Fund and other state trust funds. This session focuses on the skills it takes to be a successful stock investor.
