LOCATION: The Sequoya Branch of the Madison Public Library is located at 4340 Tokay Blvd. in the Midvale Shopping Center, about halfway between the Beltline and University Avenue, on #6 bus route.  Enter the library from either Tokay Blvd. or from the center’s parking lot.

Come to our October 19, 2016 meeting to learn about "Tax Issues Every Investor Should Understand." This presentation will focus on the realm of tax issues every investor should know.  You will learn about the biggest mistakes investors make and the best ways investors can reduce their tax burden.  The speakers will discuss which investment expenses are deductible vs. non-deductible, the impact of short-term vs. long term capital gains, tax loss harvesting, wash sale rules and basis boosting strategies.  They will also cover MLP tax issues, UBTI impact, multi-state impact and passive activity rules that might apply to you.

Timothy Koechel is a Principal with SVA Certified Public Accountants, S.C.  He is a member of SVA's Business Advisory Services and Healthcare Service groups and is Principal-in-charge of the firm's Madison Operations.

 

Ann Lahde is a Senior Manager with Business Advisory Services at SVA Certified Public Accountants, S.C.
