The AAII Los Angeles Chapter presents...

"Reviewing 2011 and Previewing 2012"

    Discussed by:

    Panel of Experts

A lot has happened on the economic and investment fronts in 2011. What does it all mean? In 2012 will we be on the road recovery, or still stuck in the mud? Will President Obama’s Job’s Act do the trick? Will the Congressional Super Committee do its job? Will Germany rescue Greece or let it default? What do Europe’s economic woes mean for the U.S. economy? And what do these mean for investing in 2012? Our panel will give you the answers.

"Investing in High-Dividend Stocks"

    Discussed by:
    Daniel J. Genter
President, CEO & Chief Investment Officer, RNC Genter Capital Management

There are two components to equity return: dividend income and capital appreciation. From 1926 to 2009, dividends provided over one-third of the total income for the S&P 500. In down and sideways markets, like we may experience in the future, dividends play an even more important role, offsetting meager or negative capital appreciation. So, where do you find stocks that pay good dividends and are likely to grow? Attend Dan’s presentation to find out.
