The AAII Philadelphia Chapter presents...

"Fear + Uncertainty = Opportunity"

    Discussed by:

    David E. Marcus
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Evermore Global Advisors LLC

The U.S. economy hasn’t recovered! The eurozone will break up! The Chinese economy will crash! David Marcus, who searches the world for bargain investments, believes that fear creates opportunity. For example, the Italian and French stock markets now trade for a historically low 7.5 and 8.0 times their respective earnings precisely because many “experts” think Italy and France will default on their government debt. David Marcus believes that those investors who take advantage of crises will eventually be well rewarded. Attend this meeting to learn the lessons from the last 20 years of our global investment climate.

This group is dedicated to the art and science of technical analysis. We look at stock charts and indicators through the eyes of some of our members. The members comprise all levels of understanding, from the inexperienced to the seasoned investor. The experienced members are always willing to assist the less knowledgeable. We meet every third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please email for information and directions.

Please phone Bob Bolder to learn the meeting location.

Jim Brady, 610/453-1797,
Meets on the fourth Monday of every month at the Easttown Library, just south of US 30 at 720 First Avenue in Berwyn, PA, 610/644-0138. This group focuses on the investment methodology known by the initials CAN SLIM, a stock screen that is very popular on the website. Members review a different facet each month to show how these ideas can be used to select particular stocks and to create buy and sell signals. All levels are welcome.
