The AAII Philadelphia Chapter presents...

"Effective Investing Techniques for Today's Markets"

    Discussed by:

    Ray Rondeau
    President, AAII Boston Chapter

The last decade's two rockem-sockem bear markets accompanied by the ever more tightly correlated returns of different asset classes have made a mockery of the buy and hold a diversified portfolio strategy. Ray Rondeau, one of our most popular speakers, will teach you technical analysis tools that you can use to deal with this trader's market, starting from scratch and progressing to some very sophisticated ways to balance risk and return. After his formal presentation, Ray will use the techniques he covered to evaluate as many stocks that attendees ask for, as time permits. There isn't remotely enough room in this brief announcement to describe the extensive, valuable material that Ray will cover and how he will do it. There is barely room for this: Bring either lots of paper or a laptop computer to take extensive notes, and bring a list of the stocks that you want Ray to evaluate. You are going to learn something valuable whether you are a novice or experienced investor, a technician or fundamentalist.

Computerized Investing
Chris Morris,
This group is dedicated to the art and science of technical analysis. We look at stock charts and indicators through the eyes of some of our members. The members comprise all levels of understanding, from the inexperienced to the seasoned investor. The experienced members are always willing to assist the less knowledgeable. We meet every third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Please email the group leader for information and directions.

(For a map, visit, then click the link: Directions:.) This SIG helps familiarize members with how options may be used in different aspects of portfolio management, including income supplementation and asset protection. It introduces the differing strategies in plain language and offers the opportunity to ask questions and share ideas with fellow AAII members.
