The AAII Milwaukee Chapter presents...

Annuities: The Good, the Bad and the Truth

    Discussed by:

    Stan The Annuity Man
Annuity Critic, Annuity Consumer Advocate, Annuity Expert

When it comes to financial planning, it’s difficult to find guarantees. Though the stock market has made a spectacular rebound since the depths of the economic crisis in 2009, the effects of the crash linger and many investors remain fearful, seeking out steady income. Pensions, once common and available to many, are disappearing. Some investors are no longer willing to gamble in the market. They are looking for guarantees but at the same time, they like the flexibility and growth of the market. Annuities have been maligned in the press as too expensive or not suitable for meeting short-term liquidity, but they may offer income or death benefits that meet an investor’s long-term needs. This presentation will help you understand a complex investment choice.
