Biography:
Gabriel Solomon is a vice president of T. Rowe Price Group and portfolio manager of the financial services fund. He follows property and casualty insurance, multiline insurance, and trust banks under the financial services industry. Solomon is also an investment advisory committee member of the capital appreciation, capital opportunity, dividend growth and growth & income funds.
Before joining T. Rowe Price in 2004, he was employed by Wellington Management Company, LLP, as an equity analyst intern covering Indian IT services companies. Solomon earned a B.A., summa cum laude, in economics from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA). He was a UCLA Regents Scholar and became a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
After spending three years as a management consultant at Sibson Consulting Group, Solomon earned an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. While at Wharton, he served as head fellow for the Wharton Investment Management Fund, a student-run small-cap value portfolio. Solomon was one of three T. Rowe Price investment professionals recognized in Institutional Investor's All-America Research Team in its December 2008 article The Best of the Buy Side.
