Biography:                             

Guy Spier is a Zurich-based investor and the author of a book on investing titled “The Education of a Value Investor” (Palgrave Macmillan, 2014). He manages the Aquamarine Fund, an investment partnership inspired by and styled after the original 1950s Buffett partnerships. In June of 2007 he made headlines by bidding US $650,100 with Mohnish Pabrai for a charity lunch with Warren Buffett in support of the Glide Foundation.

He completed his MBA at the Harvard Business School in 1993 and holds a First Class degree in PPE (politics, philosophy and economics) from Oxford University. He served for four years as the president of the Oxford Alumni Association in New York City and currently serves on the alumni board of Harvard Business School.

Spier appears regularly in various articles, magazines and TV outlets, including Bloomberg and CNN, with commentary on various issues. He is a noted speaker on investment management, spoke at TED India and co-hosted TEDx Zurich. The Aquamarine Fund headquarters are in Zurich, where he currently resides with his wife Lory and their three children.
