Biography:
R. Kevin Trout received his bachelor’s in finance from Utah State University, a master’s in finance from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln, a master’s in accountancy from the University of Iowa and a Master of Taxation from the University of Tulsa.
For the first 20 years of his career, Trout worked in accounting and finance positions, eventually becoming chief financial officer of a middle market-sized company. After completing his master's in accountancy, Trout worked as a manager for Deloitte Tax in its lead tax services. For the last seven years, Trout has devoted his full-time effort teaching accounting and finance at Coe College and the University of Iowa, where he teaches personal financial planning and taxes and businesses strategies among other courses.
Kevin Trout is an assistant professor of business administration and economics at Coe College where he teaches tax accounting and personal financial planning among other courses. He is a lifetime member of AAII.
