Biography: 

Lawrence Cunningham is a prolific author and lecturer on a broad range of business-related topics, and also a chaired professor of law and business at George Washington University. Cunningham's recent lectures have been at venues such as the New York Society of Securities Analysts, The Museum of American Finance, and Columbia University; he has lectured in a dozen countries and his books have been translated into a dozen languages.  He has written for The Financial Times, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, and his work has been reviewed in those periodicals as well as in The Economist, Forbes, and USA Today. Radio appearances include The Motley Fool, NPR and the Wharton School; television appearances include CNBC, Fox and PBS. Cunningham is a director of a private investment company, has served as a director nominee on behalf of shareholders in two proxy contests, and has advised corporate boards on governance and capital allocation strategies. Before entering academia, he practiced corporate law at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York.
