Biography:

Susie Marbury, CDMM, founder and owner of Checks & Balances for You LLC, has had a varied career. In addition to working for over 30 years as a computer professional, she owned her own jewelry-making and carry-out-dinner businesses, earned a Master of Architecture degree and promoted the green building industry in New Mexico.

Her first exposure to bookkeeping began with the jewelry-making business. Later, as a computer programmer, she wrote general ledger and accounts payable applications before the advent of Quicken and QuickBooks.

In 2012, Marbury reinvented herself once again and started her daily money management business. Checks & Balances for You has grown to a team of seven that provide services to individuals, families and small businesses.

Marbury became a Certified Daily Money Manager (CDMM) in August 2017. A member of the American Association of Daily Money Managers (AADMM) since 2012, she currently serves as the president.
