First Trust Indxx Critical Metals ETF Overview

First Trust Indxx Critical Metals ETF (FMTL) is a passively managed Sector Equity Natural Resources exchange-traded fund (ETF). First Trust launched the ETF in 2025.

The investment seeks results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the fund’s fees and expenses) of an index called the Indxx Global Critical Metals Index. The fund will normally invest at least 80% of its net assets (including investment borrowings) in the securities that comprise the index. The fund, using an indexing investment approach, attempts to replicate, before fees and expenses, the performance of the index. The index is owned and is developed, maintained and sponsored by Indxx, Inc. (the “index provider”). The fund is non-diversified.
