FT Vest High Yield & Target Income ETF (HYTI) is an actively managed Taxable Bond High Yield Bond exchange-traded fund (ETF). First Trust launched the ETF in 2025.

The investment seeks to provide investors with current income with a secondary objective of providing capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund will pursue its investment objectives by investing in U.S. treasury securities and utilizing an option strategy consisting of purchasing and writing (selling) U.S. exchange-traded call options, including Flexible Exchange options (“FLEX Options”), on the iShares iBoxx High Yield Corporate Bond ETF (the “Underlying ETF”). The fund is non-diversified.

However, for some investment categories, such as small-cap investing, it may be difficult for the manager to fully employ the desired active strategy if assets grow too large or too quickly.

HYTI Performance and Fees

It is best to compare fund expense ratios against the category averages for meaningful assessments.
