JPMorgan New York Tax Free Bond ETF (JTNY) is an actively managed Municipal Bond Muni New York Intermediate exchange-traded fund (ETF). JPMorgan launched the ETF in 2001.
The investment seeks to provide monthly dividends that are excluded from gross income for federal income tax purposes and are exempt from New York State and New York City personal income taxes; it also seeks to protect the value of the investors' investment.
The fund normally invests at least 80% of the value of its assets in municipal obligations whose interest payments are excluded from gross income for federal income tax purposes and exempt from New York State and New York City personal income taxes, and not subject to the federal alternative minimum tax on individuals. The average weighted maturity of its portfolio will be between three and twelve years.
