The Rewards of Volunteering With Your Local AAII Chapter

AAII’s local chapters offer unique opportunities for you to make a meaningful impact while enhancing your own investing journey.

AAII’s local chapters across the country are entirely run by volunteers, creating unique opportunities for members like you to make a meaningful impact while enhancing your own investing journey.

The real magic in volunteering happens in the camaraderie and conversation. As former chapter liaison and current AAII New York City Chapter vice president Hollis Wagenstein-Hurturk put it, “Sometimes you learn even more from conversations on the fringes than from what you heard at the podium.” Chapter meetings give you the opportunity to share ideas with like-minded investors.

Flexible Volunteer Opportunities

This community spirit extends to volunteering opportunities. Whether your local chapter meets in person, online or both, you have options in how you can volunteer. You could help find speakers, set up Zoom meetings, edit meeting videos or take on leadership roles like president, board member or treasurer. Prefer smaller commitments? Consider checking in registrants at in-person meetings—every contribution matters.

Shape Your Learning Experience

Volunteering gives you the opportunity to shape programming while connecting you with fellow members who share your investing passion. You’ll gain access to speakers and enhance your investing knowledge.

Ready to get involved? Join your local chapter today to discover how you can contribute to this thriving investing community.

The local chapter meetings are a wonderful place to meet people with similar interests like investing, learn from your peers and the presenters, explore new investing ideas, and meet new friends. Face-to-face chapter meetings are a way to expand your circle of support when it comes to learning about investing.... new or experienced, we learn from each other. The St. Louis Chapter next meeting is Saturday afternoon on Sept. 27. We will be hosting AAII's own, Raymond Rondeau who will be speaking on investing strategies..... if you live or visit St. Louis on Sept. 27 join us at the Clark Family Branch Library, 1640 South Lindbergh, St Louis 63131. Chapter meetings are posted in Community and you may sign up for chapters other than your local chapter to expand your exposure online. Linda Poole, President, St. Louis, MO. Chapter
